The 2024 iteration of the Resilience by Technology and Design (RTD) international conference, hosted by the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City’s College of Technology and Design collaborating with local and international partners around the world, which is centered around the pivotal theme of "Fostering Sustainability." This international symposium is committed to examining and promoting the integration of sustainable practices within the diverse spheres of technology and design.
RTD theme for 2024 delves into the critical role of cutting-edge technologies, innovative design methodologies, and comprehensive data analytics in crafting solutions that align with the principles of environmental responsibility, economic viability, and social equity toward sustainability in city, regional and society. It is very special for this RTD 2024, a meaningful sub-theme calling for the above solutions and global partnerships for the goal of “For a more sustainable Mekong Delta” to adapt to storms, sea level rise, salination, unprecedented flooding and landslides. RTD 2024 is poised to act as a melting pot of interdisciplinary research, congregating thought leaders, academics, and practitioners. The objective is to collaboratively navigate the multifaceted challenges of global sustainability through the lens of technological and design innovations.
Big Data, AI, ML, DL, and Cloud Computing in Sustainable Practices
In the RTD 2024 conference, we delve into the significant role of big data, artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), and cloud computing as catalysts for sustainability across various sectors. We aim to explore a broad spectrum of applications and integrations from different modeling types of advanced computer algorithms, analysis models, optimization techniques, computational intelligence techniques, urban data computation (centrality, network analysis, data collecting and engineering… to contribute from small to bigger scale.

At RTD 2024, we explore the transformative impact of robotics and autonomous systems in driving sustainable operations and/or sustainable applications in all sectors of the air, water, terrestrial or artificial, the infrastructure… supporting human activities. The Mekong Delta, a vital ecological and economic region in Vietnam, faces more frequent and intensive storms, sea level rise, salination, unprecedented flooding and landslides alternating with long droughts and an increase in the heat island effect that directly threatens livability in many localities. This sub-theme of RTD 2024 aims to propose innovative ideas and solutions to address unique problems for a more sustainable Mekong Delta's dynamid future through scientific engagement and collaboration. All conference participants must pay the conference registration fee. For each paper/poster, at least one author must attend and pay the registration fee.

- 150 USD if paid no later than June 10, 2024 (Early bird), or
- 180 USD if paid after June 10, 2024
● For Non-presenting Author / Other participants
- 100 USD if paid no later than June 10, 2024 (Early bird), or
- 130 USD if paid after June 10, 2024

An additional 50 USD field trip fee will be added to the registration fee.

The International conference of business theories & practices (i-COB) is an event where academics and professionals from all business disciplines to share latest research findings, brainstorm new research ideas across disciplines and convene for academic and industry keynotes, industry panel discussions and academic paper presentations. In addition, it’s an opportunity for researchers, experts, and businesses to connect and transition between research projects.
The i-COB conference has planned several events, including industry and academic keynotes, research publishing workshops, 1-day trip/ business visit, and a networking gala lunch to recognise the best papers.
